How to Create an Artist Profile?

Start by visiting the registration page. Just fill in your first name, last name, email, and password.

By signing up, you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Once registered, you'll receive a confirmation email. After verifying your email, you’ll be redirected to the artist profile creation page.

When to use aliases

There are many cases where using aliases is appropriate:

Misspellings

These are the most common, and function as a simplistic automatic spelling corrector e.g. Led Zepplin = Led Zeppelin

Variants

An artist may have several similar names used interchangeably and without making a distinction in different cases e.g. Hootie and the Blowfish = Hootie & the Blowfish; ESP = ESP-Disk’

Numbers

Even if there is one preferred option (spelled out or with numerical form), an artist's name that includes numbers may or may not be spelled out by users e.g. The 3 Tenors = The Three Tenors; Six Sonatas, op. 3 = 6 Sonatas, op. 3

Stylized Names

Many artists feel a need to spell their names or the names of their songs with strange spacing, odd characters and punctuation, etc. e.g. NSync = 'N Sync

Missing Titles

Titles, monikers and/or articles are usually added/dropped from artists' names e.g. The Sex Pistols = Sex Pistols; Tiësto = DJ Tiësto; End of the World = The End of the World

Acronyms

Localization

While English-speakers are used to "Tchaikovsky", that is not the composer's native name, and he is known elsewhere in the world by different spellings. Transliterations

"Translated" Names

Many Asian artists have "English" names in addition to their given "Chinese" or "Japanese" etc. names - in some cases, the artists prefer the English name even in non-English text e.g. Chou Jie Lun = Jay Chou

Legal Changes

With Playary for Artists, you can monitor the performance of your songs and albums in detail. The statistics pages help you understand how your content is performing, when it’s getting the most attention, and how your audience is growing over time.

🔍 Viewing General Statistics:

Go to Your Artist Profile: Log into your Playary for Artists account and navigate to your artist profile.
Click the Overview Tab: In the top menu, click on the Overview tab.
Review Key Stats: In this section, you can see:
- Total play count
- Number of followers
- Most streamed songs
- Most streamed albums
- Milestones
- Daily / weekly / monthly trend charts

🎵 Album and Song-Specific Stats

To view stats for a specific album or song, go to its detail page and click on the Overview tab there.
This lets you analyze how each release is performing individually — who’s listening, how often, and when.

🗓️ Adjusting the Date Range

By default, the statistics show data from the past 7 days.
Use the calendar icon in the top right to change the date range (e.g., past 8 weeks, past 30 days, custom range).

📈 Visualization Features

Each stat card has handy options in its top-right corner:
- Full Screen Mode: Expand any chart or card to full screen for easier viewing.
- Expand/Collapse Lists: Use this to see more or fewer entries in song/album lists.
