How to transfer your podcast subscriptions to Playary using an OPML file on Playary Web App?

If you're moving from another podcast app and want to bring your existing subscriptions into Playary, you can do so quickly using an OPML file. OPML is a standard format used by many podcast apps to export a list of your subscribed shows. By importing this file into Playary, you can avoid the hassle of manually searching and subscribing to each podcast again. This is especially useful if you're switching from apps like Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, or any other platform that supports OPML export.

Steps to Import Your OPML File:

  1. Open the web app by visiting app.playary.com and log in to your Playary account.
  2. Click your profile name in the top-right corner of the screen and select App Settings from the dropdown menu.
  3. On the App Settings page, find the OPML file import section.
  4. Drag and drop your .opml file into the upload area, or click the area to browse and select the file manually.
  5. Once the upload completes, Playary will read the file and match podcasts with those available in its archive.
  6. Podcasts found in the archive will be automatically added to the Podcasts section of your library.

Additional Information:

  1. Only podcasts available in Playary’s catalog will be imported; unavailable shows won’t appear in your library.
  2. You can re-import the same OPML file anytime; already subscribed podcasts will be skipped to avoid duplicates.
